Emergen-C Banner Concepts
The Challenge: The Campaigns team requested winter pre-sales concepts for a display banner campaign pitch to Emergen-C. The brand is currently losing market share to hydration packet brands like Liquid IV. Emergen-C wants to target young adults and re-position its product as something you take proactively throughout the year to boost immunity, not just after you get sick.
The Idea: Leveraging the energetic brand colors, I pitched the concept of going big during “moments that matter”, and using Emergen-C to gain that momentum. We designed mock-ups showing big moments like sports, concerts, and traveling, when a customer would need extra momentum and immuno-boost.
The Result: The client received the pitch positively, and is currently considering it for their winter media plan.
Exploding Kittens Brand Store
The Challenge: The client wanted to optimize their old brand store design which they believed was lacking excitement and vibrancy to match their product.
The Idea: We added custom animations using their character designs, leveraged their vibrant brand colors, and re-organized their store pages and featured products to make a better CX.
The Result: The client liked the designs so much they increased their media spend to ask our team additionally localize for their global markets. “This is fantastic and all the changes look great! Huge thanks to you and the team!” - Matthew Bull (Director of Ecommerce)
Brand Store TEmplates
The Challenge: Due to the success of a Christmas-themed stores template launched in EU5, I was asked to lead the creation of seasonal store templates for the Campaigns team to pitch to clients.
The Idea: Using internal brands for placement only, we built templates which would allow 3P brands to quickly swap in their product ASINs within the pre-approved designs/copy. For the Sustainability template, I worked with the Climate Pledge team to ensure we adhered to their brand colors and guidelines.
The Result: We successfully piloted the templates for two months in the US, meeting our target revenue goal and leading to repeat business from advertisers, then expanded to EU5.

New Ad Products: Fire TV Sponsored Row & PRime Video Feature Rotator
I owned a VP-level goal to increase our design team’s influence on the development and launch of new ad products, such as the Fire TV (FTV) Sponsored Row and Prime Video Feature Rotator (PVFR) below. Working closely with Product and UX teams, I provided design feedback on the layout, character limits, logo space, client use cases, and more. I collected advertiser VOC and advised on design improvements post-launch, such as increasing safe zones and increasing ability to feature multi-titles.

Prime Video Feature Rotator
On-Package Print
I was a co-owner of a VP-level goal to transition Amazon print placements (packaging, bags, lockers) from the Brand Lab team over to our design team. I worked with the Brand Lab to ensure training, dielines, etc. were smoothly transitioned to our team of Art Directors.
Amazon Devices Kids & Family
Kids+ (aka. Freetime) tutorial Video
I worked with the Kids UX, Product, and Research teams to help define the key selling points of the Kids+ (formerly called FreeTime) subscription. The UX Lead and I briefed the animation vendor and provided feedback on the designs and script.
Alexa & Kidz Bop Duet: Monster Mash
I worked with our BD team to do a seasonal Halloween activation on Alexa for Kids, and we reached out to Kidz Bop for a duet collaboration, which they were excited to do for free for marketing engagement. I directed the singing and music editing, and we successfully gained 10x the engagement of the prior year’s Halloween activation.
Alexa CALL SANTA: BEHIND THE SCENES
I’ve uploaded some behind-the-scenes images showing iterations and my feedback process with the agency for Alexa Call Santa here: https://www.artbyjustina.com/call-santa .
The agency loved the project so much that they threw in a free “away message” painting for when Santa is unavailable the rest of the year, and calling Santa goes to his voicemail. And the Alexa Comms team loved the result so much that they printed free Santa stickers for everyone based on my design.
Amazon Devices Marketing
Echo Show on-Device Demo & touchbars
I led the designs of on-device demos for Echo Show and retail fixture digital touchbars which accompany the demo devices with more information, including for Kids+ devices.
PIXAR Marketing
Inside Out: Social Stickers
I led Pixar approvals and feedback for the development of Inside Out social stickers (used on Facebook, WhatsApp, Line, etc.). I provided feedback on colors, character design, and motion.
The Good Dinosaur Marketing/PR Stills
I was in charge of scrubbing the film for scenes that would make good Marketing/PR still images, and then assigning to our marketing TD’s to render without blur/etc. I would then take the resulting render and do additional Photoshop touch-ups before uploading to the Disney portal for our marketing partners.
Toronto Parade Float
The Disney Canada team approached us to help with creative feedback on their Good Dinosaur Toronto parade float designs/schematics. As the Pixar point of contact for international activation programs, I acted as a brand steward to ensure the proposed designs stayed true to the film. Unfortunately I was not happy with how the eyes and colors turned out, but I managed to help the vendor correct body proportions.
Incredibles 2 & Finding dory Character Poses
I was responsible for assigning character poses to the TD’s to pose, light and render. These poses would be used for Consumer Products and other Disney marketing materials. I was responsible for finishing edits in Photoshop (ex. shadows and touch-ups).
Machine Zone Marketing
APP STORE CONTENT
Mobile Strike was the #1 top-grossing mobile game when I worked at Machine Zone. As the Creative Marketing Lead, I was responsible for leading A/B testing and finding the best performing design and copy for our app store marketing. I would write briefs for our designers and provide design feedback, and then test. We found that showing in-game UI designs performed the best in terms of conversion.
PAID MEDIA
I was in charge of analyzing ad performance and competitors, coming up with concepts/briefs for our internal designers, and providing them with design feedback.
This became our top-performing Facebook ad design for CTR and conversion.
